Review #2 - Louisiana Hots - Herb Green

Halloween started early a few days early as Prophet 7;13 took the stage at Louisiana Hots & delivered an incendiary set. Opening with "Bigger," a tip of the hat to Alice in Wonderland, Mikeal wowed the crowd with his vocal intensity and in your face lyrics. Although the venue was small, their sound was well defined. From Kevin's eerie keyboard to Felix's bone crushing beats, Seth's wicked guitar riffs and Brenda's bass lines, the mix was excellent. After burning through "Mad," "Program" and other faves, the band handed out limited edition CD's before closing the show with "Lick Me." This talented cast of characters proved that heavy music can be melodic, dynamic, & have depth. See you at the next show.
